Sebastian was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is also a citizen of Ecuador.  He began studying film in Spain and went on to earn a Master's degree from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Hollywood, where he studied under mentors like Sandy Stern (producer of BEING JOHN MALKOVICH) and Neil Canton (producer of BACK TO THE FUTURE). 

 

He interned for companies like Sundance Institute's Feature Film Program International, Sam Raimi's Ghosthouse Pictures, and at the American Film Market with Lakeshore Entertainment and Hanway Films. Sebastian has also been part of the Berlinale Talents and the Producers & Industry Workshops at the Marche du Film - Cannes Film Festival. 

Rene was born in Santa Barbara, California. He began his career in film as an apprentice at Richard Linklater’s Austin Film Society, then went on to earn a Master’s of Fine Arts in Producing at the American Film Institute, where he made several short films on various themes. 

 

He lives in Los Angeles and is a recipient of the Latino Donor Collaborative Scholarship and a National Hispanic Foundation of the Arts Scholar. Rene's been championed by actor Esai Morales (LA BAMBA) and Elizabeth Avellan (Producer of SIN CITY, DESPERADO, DEATH PROOF, MACHETE).
